UPDATE: Source: Gazprom settles price disputes with private Turkish firms
(Adds details in last two paragraphs)
MOSCOW, Apr 13 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom and private Turkish gas companies settled all pricing disputes several days ago, a source with knowledge of the matter told PRIME on Wednesday.
Apart from state-run Botas, Gazprom ships gas to Enerco Enerji, Avrasya gaz, Akfel gas, Bosphorus gas, Shell Turkey, Bati Hatti and Kibar Enerji. In April 2015, the Russian company granted a 10.25% discount for these companies, but earlier this year, Enerco Enerji said that Gazprom demands a price increase unilaterally and had reduced the volume of shipments.
The source said that details of the new agreement will be announced soon.
Newswire Anadolu reported citing sources in the Turkish companies as saying that Gazprom had agreed on a discount but the deal has not been signed. After the arrangement has been formalized, Gazprom will restore the volume of gas supplies, the sources said.
The sources said that the new discount will be below 10.25%.
